Meet The Herd

My name is Rockstar and I typically give rides to 7-8 year olds. I’ve been at Wild West for 11 years. I’m the old man of the herd at 22 years old.

My name is PB. Some say it stands for Pony Boy, others say for Peanut Butter. I typically give rides to 7-8 year olds. I’m newer to Wild West and came from a kill pen in Texas.

My name is Miss Essey. I came to Wild West when I was 5 years old. I’ve been here for 9years. I’ll let you do the math on my age. I typically give rides to 8-10 year olds.

My name is Fabio and I’m an escape artist! Our trail guides need to keep an eye on me or the next thing they know I’ll be going across the field for some greener grass.

My name is Gus. I came from the same kill pen as PB. It was a long trek up here from Texas, but I’m enjoying life giving 10-13 year olds rides.

My name is AJ. I’m a fan favorite here. I’m pretty relaxed and mind my own business. I do what I’m told with no questions and often fall asleep when I’m waiting to go on a ride.

My name is Dakota. The trail guides call me a moody mare, but girl campers and trail riders love my sweetness. I just give sass to the guides to keep them on their toes.

My name is Cowboy. I came to Wild West with my buddy Chief and we’re best buds although I have a little more pep in my step than he does. I can’t wait to meet all the people that come to Wild West

My name is Rain. I might look familiar. I’ve been told that I look like Rain from the movie Spirit. I like to be on the trails with my friends and don’t like being left behind.

My name is Maggie. I’m a Percheron/Morgan cross. So lucky me. I’m part draft horse. That means I get to take out 4-6 year olds on the trails when they ride double with an adult.

My name is Expo. I give rides to adults, but just like Maggie, I also give rides to 4-6 year olds who ride double with an adult. I’m one of the youngins here at Wild West.

My name is Copper. I’ve been here the longest and I’m one of the leaders of the herd. I was raised here by the owner’s daughter and she’s my best friend. I’d do anything for her, but she likes it when I take you on trail rides so I like that too.

Hello everyone! My name is Chief. I came to Wild West in July of 2023. I came with my pal Cowboy. We didn’t come to Wild West with names, so the staff and girls campers helped name us. We’re fitting in well with the herd and understanding our job here.

My name is Little J, but when I get in trouble the trail guides say my full name, Little John. I don’t get in trouble often, but I like to bite fences and for some reason I always get in trouble for that.

My name is Sonny. I’m the newest member of the Wild West herd. I came from Mukwonago. A girl camper here told Wild West about me and I used to be her Grandpa’s horse. Now I get to live my days being loved by many girls at camp on on trail rides.

My name is Duke. As you can tell, I ‘m not a horse, but I’m the leader of this herd! I own this place and will make many appearances around the campground but I don’t like going on the trails. I’d prefer taking a long nap.
